The International Deaf Referees Union (IDRU) has launched its new official website, introducing a digital platform dedicated to connecting Deaf football and futsal referees across the world. The website marks an important step in the organisation’s efforts to improve communication, visibility and international cooperation.
The new platform brings together information about IDRU’s activities, international referee appointments, development opportunities and the growing network of Deaf match officials.
Visitors can explore the organisation’s objectives, follow the latest news and learn more about referees involved in national and international competitions.
Putting referees in the spotlight
One of the website’s central features is its dedicated referee profile system, designed to showcase the experience and achievements of Deaf officials.
Individual profiles provide an overview of each referee’s background, qualifications, international experience and upcoming match appointments.
By bringing this information together, IDRU aims to increase the visibility of Deaf referees and recognise their contributions to football and futsal.
Connecting the international community
Beyond providing information, the website will serve as a central communication platform for referees, national organisations and other stakeholders involved in Deaf sports.
News updates, educational initiatives and international appointments will be published regularly, helping referees stay informed about developments within the community.
The platform has been designed with future expansion in mind, allowing additional features and resources to be introduced as the organisation continues to grow.
A new chapter for IDRU
The launch reflects IDRU’s wider ambition to establish a professional and internationally recognised network supporting Deaf referees at every stage of their careers.
With the new website, the organisation takes another step towards bringing Deaf referees together, sharing knowledge and creating opportunities beyond national borders.
One community. One passion. No barriers.
